Metamorphosis, Adaptation & Modernism ~ On being wrinkle free

Soaking It Up ~

Sometimes it's like doing the laundry... Life is. There are certain requirements to getting along in a society. I hardly ever do any ironing any more. I'm not wrinkle free and I like it this way. We can do our washing, and frequently bathe ourselves, but somehow these redundant efforts seem, for all practicality, redundant! This laundering, although effective and especially when one is consistent helps, but if and when we let things pile up sometimes the experience becomes one of difficulty. At times I feel a strange time constraint. That the space between point A and point B has somehow become scrunched ~ and it's gotten away from me. Dust bunnies I swear I love you too ~ Yet I know that time stands still and I relish in that placidity. It is in taking time to enjoy this sense of tranquility and contemplate "the wrinkle in time" that I get in touch with the fondness within that is currently growing and sometimes glowing so brightly I wish I had a personal dimmer switch. I could drown in my images and representations as I transfuse internally and watch from afar, like a clock worn on my body, and a sense of I AM of the realization that I become larger then the piles of laundry or dishes in the sink, unfulfilled dreams; or any judgements germinating. Whatever it is I am feeling, I like soaking it up ~ and I like sharing. I am bringing a crinkled abstraction in hopes that my arrangement of words clear a path. I admittedly keep a supply of thoughts on hand just in case, and language spins a web of intrigue that interconnects, accumulating for preservation or future use, I suspect...
Through the washing and the drying and the ironing, (Ok, sometimes I iron) and the eventual sense that I am sitting atop of the pile rather then underneath it all I take delight in putting this fractional, fragmented, spilling of words in blog format. I'm excited about letting this composition creatively take on an order that informs and meliorates, but does not have to be un-crumpled.

Soaking it Up and as always FEELING THE Plague of LOVE ~ as I go through the daily process of adaptation, metamorphosis & the sophistication of modernism ~

Half FULL ~ catching petals at my heart

Half FULL ~ catching petals at my heart
KaivalyaBOUND; "She's a half~bloomed lotus disheveled by wind; even her eyes are disheveled. Petals spiral from the clouds into her hair, fall singed at her feet." Rabindranath Tagore

A FANCY EVENT by TUCKERAM

This is among my favorite poems... Found in a book called LOVE POEMS FROM GOD ~ Twelve Sacred Voices from the East and West compiled by Daniel Ladinsky

I
was invited
to a fancy event and when
I got there one of the guest said,
"Tuckeram, your shirt is on backwards and so are
your pants,

and it looks like your hair never heard the word comb,
and your shoes don't
match."

I replied,

"Thanks, I noticed all that before leaving,
but why try to fool
anyone."

WORLD PEACE begins w/ INNER PEACE

WORLD PEACE begins w/ INNER PEACE
"In the night we stumble over things and become acutely conscious of their separateness, but the day reveals the unity which embraces them. And the man whose inner vision is bathed in consciousness at once realizes the spiritual unity which reigns over all racial differences, and his mind no longer stumbles over individual facts, accepting them as final. He realizes that peace is an inner harmony and not an outer adjustment, that beauty carries the assurance of our relationship to reality, which waits for its perfection in the response of our love." Rabindranath Tagore

Feathers and such ~

The discerning swan
Representational beauty ~
Whether gliding & transposing,
Smoothly and stately
Or just quiet ~
She seemingly moves with grace
With exquisite ease,
So discriminately.
The swan and I,
and mercy.
I envision regalia.
I admire her stature
Feeling privileged
And  recognized.
Ever present!
How artistic manner and exuded clarity manifest ~
The beloved connection, again,  made fathomable ~
